There is anticpiation lingering here this morning. For good, for bad, and in my case... for denial. But anticipation, just the same. It feels like a vacation morning... all of us up before dawn and going about our business to be ready at the appointed hour. Soon, we will all head out together... a very unusual happening on a weekday morning. And it feels like an adventure.
Because today is the day.
The day for our vaccinations.
It will put us one step closer to our African vacation. Good.
Of course, shots are no one's favorite, and multiple shots are even worse. Bad.
And even though my Mom has told me that there is one that hurts... a lot... I am pretending, and hoping, that it won't. Denial.
Today I celebrate the little steps that preceded the big journey. Because every step is an adventure... all part of the story. And on a Tuesday... certainly worth unwrapping!

So exciting that your trip is coming up soon!
Oooh, exciting stuff in the ordinary--indeed!
Oh, and I love your new blog design. I had to check and make sure I was on the right post! Lovely.
Oh, I imagine you all were dreading this. One more step towards your trip of a lifetime. It will be worth it. The shots will be a distant memory very soon.
Hugs, Suz
Oh, boy! YOU ARE GOING!! It's really happening! You sure wouldn't get those darn shots otherwise!
Be sure to take some Advil or Tylenol after you get your shots--it really does help with the pain. And the soreness will be gone soon, but the protection from the immunization will last a long time. So worth it!
Besides, maybe you can get a lollipop if you're a good brave girl. :)
Love you!
Oh what fun! Well, not really, but you know what I mean. I remember getting shots when I visited China-- such good times. :)
How exciting!! You'll "feel" like you are getting closer and closer to the reality that you are going to...AFRICA! I am soooo excited!!
Oh gosh the day is fast approaching!
Pain for a purpose...right? Hope it wasn't too bad for you!
I'm glad you played with broccoli too! {My kids are normal then, right?}
Blessings to you on your journey!
Going to Africa has been one of my dreams, what a trip of a lifetime! I love the new blog design too!
