If only every weekend was four days…
I crafted, I played with my kids, I finished two books, I stretched out on the couch and relaxed. I ran errands, caught up on my laundry and cleaned my room. Sunday afternoon began to fade, and I was feeling refreshed… even ready to tackle the work week.
Sweeping the sleep away from my eyes this morning… I readied myself for the new summer routine… three day work weeks, no homework, carefree afternoons and perhaps a few more four day weekends. And heading off for work today seems... just a bit sweeter with my heart full of warm memories and summer dreams.

Grrr. . . I just tried to leave a comment, but wasn't properly signed in. Stuff like that makes me VERY impatient with myself.
Anyway, as I was saying. . . .
A three-day workweek doesn't sound so bad. And four-day weekends sound great!
How close are you to a beach--close enough to go for a day? Do you have a favorite beach?
Your weekend sounds just perfect...the right mix of R and R and getting stuff done.
Love the pictures...must you always taunt me with the oreos???
hugs,

Sounds & looks like you had the perfect weekend! Nice to have 3 days on and 4 days off if you can do it.
When is the safari??

Summer was always a special time for our family. I remember it clearly, but my memories keep getting better with time. That's what I didn't know, that the memories we create just get better as we age.
sounds like an absolutely PERFECT weekend!!
We're just getting into our summer routine here, as well. We live near beaches, too, but the only time I can get my whole family there is just for shoreline after dinner walks. My son and I are the only ones who get into the water and play.
Glad to see the season off to a good start on your slice of the shore :)
Sigh...sounds like good times!
