This time we spend fills me. It fills me, and excites me... as we journey to another phase of us. There was a time when I thought the kids would never be just-a-bit-older... and now? Life is racing towards a time when it will be just us once again. And so when we take an hour or so to wander a farmers market, or grab a couple of stools at a bar to share burgers & tacos, it is a glimpse of tomorrow. And it is good.

We share a love for odd foods at breakfast. (today I had fish and leftover noodles)

Sound Man and I haven't been on a date in so long! I get those glimpses, too, when we do get to spend some time just by ourselves. So many couples end up with "What now?" when their kids move out...and I'm so thankful that when that day does happen (and I'm not rushing it here by any means) we will step into that phase of our lives as eagerly as when we first got married. : )
