With less that two weeks of school under the belt of this new year, I am weary of finding a routine and figuring it out. Reality tells me there is no hope to paddle my way back to lazy days and nights when bed time forgets that morning comes early... there is work to do.
I seek the sun, and let it shine on my face... eyes closed, remembering the simple of summer.
In summer, the song sings itself.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to summer either, friend.
We are expecting 90 degrees today and I am so loving it!
But the leaves on the trees tell me a different story. . .they are turning the slightest shades of yellow and orange!
If only winter didn't come after fall!
Oh my WORD. Are those PANCAKES? Those look amazing.
Love you, friend. :)
Pancakes and lady bugs? Love all those photos....and summer? It will come again, but you have to earn it with all the stress first. :) Surely that is not what you wanted to hear???
xoxoxo
Love Sedona, and have been there and actually have a similiar photo. I believe it is almost impossible to describe Sedona, one has to be there to understand. As for wanting to go back to summer, I think it is too early to give up of finding a routine. Sounds like you had an awesome summer, so just take one day at a time and a routine will find its way into your life again for the school year. Love the sunset photo too. Believe that too is Sedona. Blessings,
Lynn
So lovely, Dawn. The photos, the words. I'm sure you will find your groove for the new school year, though. And, no doubt, some simple pleasures to go along with it.
You know I love summer, too. Take me back to the beach, please? The freshness of the air in fall only lasts a short time before winter is knocking at the door. That quote? Yes.
