Today she turns in her cap and gown order.
Way back when... 2012 seemed a lifetime away, and somehow, now it is almost looking me in the eye.
She came home giddy with excitement, and when I finally got home, I was as excited as she... to browse through the senior stuff with her. Reading the tag lines on the cover had me marvelling at the clever author and ooooh-ing at the picture memories spinning through my mind. And then... in the next moment, I was sobbing.
Oh baby girl, I am teetering on the line of disbelief... the one drawn between excitement and touch of sorrow. But oh, this life... is beautiful from any angle... and you will shine.
I can count on it.

So exciting! She'll do well in whatever she chooses. I remember those days fondly. Ethan will graduate in 2020! That sounded so far away in 2002, but now? Not so far at all.
Oh, I remember those days. As the senior, not the mama-- those days are still a bit ahead of us. :)
Yesterday Art turned in his preregistration forms for his FINAL year of seminary. We're doing a bit of the oh-my-word thing around here too. :)
"beautiful from any angle"....love that.
I love this photo too...so much happiness.
xoxoxo
Such an exciting year for your family!
Oh, golly. I can hardly believe that 2012 is right around the corner. Anyone who doesn't think time flies--step right this way and hang out with the mom of teenagers.
So glad to know that Eric is making good progress. No surgery sounds like great news to me!!
I just cried.
How can it be?
A senior?
Oh. My.
That seems the epitome of growing up, doesn't it?
I am so right there with you...just ordered my baby's cap and gown last week. It pretty much broke my heart...
I so remember this year with my own daughter. Bittersweet.
All the best to your senior!
